Select the ‘Structure Copy Opposite’ function from the Linear Draft toolbar. This will allow you to copy a structure to a 2nd track, directly opposite an existing structure.
Follow the prompts to select a structure.
Once you have selected the structure that you want to copy onto an opposing track, the prompts will then ask you to select both the left and right rails of the 2nd track.
Left and right rail selection will define the orientation of the structure and its annotation box, therefore, the left and right rails must be chosen as if you were looking at the rails in direction of increasing chainage.
The ‘Edit Structure’ form will be displayed, showing all the engineering values that have been copied across form the existing structure. The structure name will be prepopulated with the 3rd box remaining blank, allowing you to appropriately name and identify the structure.
Once you have input the name identifier into the 3rd 'Name' text box, make any further adjustments to the engineering values (if required) click ‘Confirm’ to accept.
The new structure will be placed on the additional track, directly opposite the original structure.
