Multi-Copy is used to make multiple copies of a structure along one track. Select ‘Structure Multi-Copy’ from the Linear Draft toolbar, follow the prompt to select a single support structure.
Once you have selected a structure to copy, the ‘Copy Structure’ form will appear.
Enter a count of how times you want to copy the structure, define the span distance (in metres) between the structures and choose the structure name increments.
N.B. When inputting span length, you can determine which direction to place the structures along the track. A positive figure will place the structures up-track when viewing in a forward direction, whereas a negative figure will place the structures down-track in a forward facing direction.
To maintain relative foundation height, copy all wires, alternate stagger, copy all equipment and alternate between push off and pull you will need to check each of the respective boxes.
When editing the fields on the 'Copy Structure' form, you will see a marker preview of where the copied structures will be placed (see below).
Copying a secondary structure, along a second track, can also be performed at this point. Full details of multi-copying with a secondary structure can be found here.
Once you have defined all elements click ‘Confirm’ to accept.
N.B. If you are working with a referenced track file that is made up of broken lines, then the multi-copy function will only create structure up to the end of the section that you are working on.
Once the structures have been confirmed, you can then edit each individual structure using the ‘Structure Adjust’ function to define any specific requirements.
