'View Selection' allows you to identify elements which are associated to either a wire or a structure. This function can be used in any Linear Draft view.
Select the 'View Selection' button from the Linear Draft toolbar and follow the prompt to select either a wire or a structure.
In the example below a structure will be selected. Once the structure has been selected, the 'Selection View' form will be displayed.
The form will display which structure has been selected and the 'Structure' checkbox will be ticked. You can change which structure or wire is selected by clicking the 'Change' button and selecting a new item. The structure will now be highlighted in your model.
Upon selecting the other options on the 'Selection View' form, associated elements to the structure will become highlighted. This allows the user a quick and easy way to view the items within a model that correspond to each structure.
Now, the example below will show the views for if a wire is selected.
Selecting other options from within the 'Selection View' form, the display will be updated and the relevant elements will now be highlighted.
N.B. When a structure is selected, the 'Wire' checkbox is redundant. Also when a wire is selected, the 'Structure box' checkbox is redundant.
