Deleting a structure will completely remove a structure (and any attached equipment) from your model.
If there are any wires attached to the structure, they will not be deleted. The wire will span across the structures immediately before and immediately after the structure that has just been removed.
You can delete structures either individually or you can delete multiple structures. Both ways of deleting use the 'Structure Remove' button on the Linear Draft toolbar.
To delete an individual structure, choose ‘Structure Remove’ from the Linear Draft toolbar and follow the prompt to select a structure. This should be the structure that you want to delete.
In the example below structure LDM-08-04 will be selected.
The structure will be removed, along with any attached equipment. The catenary and auxiliary wires remain in place.
The span & versine information will also be removed and this is shown in the example below.
To delete multiple structures, highlight all of the structures you want to delete and choose ‘Structure Remove’ from the Linear Draft toolbar.
To highlight multiple structures, you can follow one of two methods:
- Hold 'Ctrl' and select each structure
- Click and hold the left mouse button and highlight an area of your model (the highlighted area must include the structures that you want to delete).
N.B. A structure can be selected either by clicking on the structure in the 2D and 3D views or by selecting any part of the structure annotation box. See the example image below:
In all instances, when deleting a structure, any associated span & versine annotations will also be removed.
If deleting multiple structures leaves a wire unattached and unassociated to any structures, therefore making the wire redundant, the wire will be deleted.
